Mercosur. 2001-2010: A Decade Devoted to a Peace - Based Culture
SELLO: Globo terráqueo, paloma -símbolo mundial de la paz- y parte del continente americano, conformados por una trama de puntos donde la unión de cada uno hace posible ver la totalidad de la imagen reforzando el concepto de integración de los pueblos. De fondo las leyendas “paz, libertad, democracia, integración” en variados colores representando la diversidad, la convivencia de los pueblos y sus culturas. En los dos sellos, isologotipo del Mercosur y leyenda “2001-2010. Decenio sobre una cultura de paz” en tinta plata.
Stamp: The globe, a dove –the world symbol for Peace, and a part of the American continent constituted by a weft of points the union of each one causes the whole image to be totally seen –thus, strengthening the people's integration concept appear on this stamp. On the background, the words 'peace, freedom, democracy, integration' in various colours represent the diversity and coexistence of different peoples and their cultures. On both stamps there appear: the MERCOSUR isologotype, and motto reading '2001-2010: A decade devoted to a peace-based culture", in silver ink.
